Susan Jackson is President of the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF), a global partnership of scientists, tuna processors and environmental organisations dedicated to advancing the long-term conservation and sustainable use of tuna stocks, reducing bycatch and promoting healthy marine ecosystems.
Before joining ISSF, Susan served as Vice President for Government and Industry Relations and Seafood Sourcing at Del Monte Foods, where she was responsible for government relations at the federal, state and local levels, as well as seafood sourcing for the company's StarKist brand.
Susan joined the H.J. Heinz Company in 1997 as an attorney before moving into seafood sourcing and procurement roles. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor (JD) from Duke University.

Dr. Adisorn Promthep is an expert in fisheries policy, rural development and coastal resource management. He currently serves as Advisor to the Thai Tuna Industry Association (TTIA) and Advisor to the Committee on Fisheries and Related Industries of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
Previously, Adisorn served as Director-General of Thailand's Department of Fisheries, where he initiated the "Fisheries Reform" policy to strengthen the fisheries and aquaculture value chain in line with international standards. The policy focused on sustainability, environmental responsibility, hygiene and traceability, while supporting efforts to address illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing and labour issues.
He also served as Minister (Agriculture) at the Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels, Belgium, and Washington, D.C., United States of America.

Manuel Barange is Assistant Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and Director of its Fisheries and Aquaculture Division. He is also Honorary Professor at the University of Exeter, United Kingdom, and Visiting Professor at the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences (CAFS), China.
Previously, Manuel served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Science at Plymouth Marine Laboratory, United Kingdom, and as Chair of the Scientific Committee of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES).
Manuel is an internationally recognised expert in fisheries and aquaculture, with particular expertise in the impacts of climate change and other human activities on marine ecosystems, as well as the role of aquatic foods in addressing hunger and poverty. He has authored more than 130 academic publications and is the Lead Editor of the FAO flagship biennial publication The State of World Fisheries and Aquaculture (SOFIA).
He has contributed to several reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and served as Review Editor for the IPCC Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate (SROCC). In 2010, he was awarded the UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) Roger Revelle Medal for his contributions to ocean science.

Originally from Brittany, France's principal fishing region, Nicolas developed a strong interest in the environmental and social impacts of fisheries, which led him to join the MSC as Manager for Continental Europe in 2002. He was appointed Regional Director for Europe in 2007 before assuming his current role as Chief Program Officer.

His expertise encompasses aquaculture management, fisheries improvement, sustainability standards, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
He developed and implemented the FIA PNG Responsible Sourcing Policy (RSP), which has strengthened responsible fishing practices and delivered positive environmental and social outcomes across Papua New Guinea's tuna industry. A national of Papua New Guinea, Noan brings more than 36 years of experience in fisheries management, regional cooperation and policy development. He previously served as Director of Fisheries Operations at FFA from 2013 to 2018 and as Deputy Managing Director of Papua New Guinea's National Fisheries Authority from 2018 to 2023.
His expertise spans international fisheries negotiations, monitoring, control and surveillance, and sustainable fisheries management. He has also chaired several regional and international fisheries bodies, including the Parties to the Nauru Agreement (PNA), INFOFISH and the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) Technical Compliance Committee.
Throughout his career, Noan has contributed to strengthening fisheries governance, combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, and advancing the sustainable management of Pacific fisheries resources.

In his role, Roberto represents and promotes the interests of the seafood industry in engagement with national, European and international institutions, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO). He participates in several European Union advisory councils, including the Long Distance Advisory Council (LDAC), Market Advisory Council (MAC) and South Western Waters Advisory Council (CC-SUD), and is involved in industry organisations such as Seafood Europe, the European Seafood Services Association (ESSA) and EUROTHON.

He manages tuna and other species' Fishery Improvement Projects (FIPs) across the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans, supporting fisheries in meeting Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and social sustainability standards. His expertise includes advising retailers and major brands on sustainable fisheries, conducting social audits of fishing vessels, and supporting responsible recruitment practices for seafood workers.
Iain's clients and collaborators have included the MSC, Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), MRAG, Fair Trade USA, Thai Union, FCF, the US Tuna Purse Seine Group and Ping Tai Rong. He has conducted independent audits covering factories, illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, social accountability and labour practices on board tuna fishing vessels. Key Traceability is based in England, with 15 staff and an office in Kaohsiung, Taiwan (KT Asia).

Henk Brus is Chief Executive Officer of Pacifical and has more than three decades of experience in the global tuna and canned foods industries. After completing his studies in psychology, he began his career in the food trade sector in 1987. From 1992 to 1998, he served as Vice-President of a leading multinational canned fish importing company in the Netherlands.
In 1998, Henk founded Atuna BV, a global tuna trading company covering the full supply chain. He also developed Atuna.com, which became a leading online source of news and information for the global tuna industry. Since 2014, he has remained involved with Atuna Media as a shareholder.
In 2000, Henk was one of the co-founders of the World Tuna Purse Seiner Organization (WTPO). In 2007, he launched Sustunable, an initiative promoting a responsible approach to tuna sourcing and one of the early pioneers in the global marketing of FAD-free tuna.
In 2010, Sustunable became a joint venture partner with the eight PNA countries in Pacifical, established to market sustainably sourced, fully traceable, MSC-certified free-school skipjack and yellowfin tuna. Henk has served as Chief Executive Officer of Pacifical since its establishment.
He also initiated World Tuna Day, which was officially designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 2016 and is observed annually on 2 May. Today, he continues to lead Pacifical's work on digital traceability and verification, including the development of the SmarTuna platform.

Marcio Castro de Souza is Senior Fishery Officer (International Trade) in the Fisheries and Aquaculture Division of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), where he leads the Markets and Trade Team. He also serves as Secretary of the FAO Sub-Committee on Fish Trade of the Committee on Fisheries (COFI:FT), the principal global platform for intergovernmental dialogue on international trade in fisheries and aquaculture products.
His work covers market and trade analysis, policy guidance, market access, trade agreements and regulatory instruments governing international trade in fisheries and aquaculture products. He also represents FAO in technical dialogue with other international organisations, including the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Before joining FAO, Marcio spent more than two decades in senior advisory and negotiating roles within the Brazilian Government, including as Trade Advisor to the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture. He was also a co-author of Brazil's proposals on fisheries subsidies submitted to the WTO. He holds a Master's degree in International Law and Economics from the World Trade Institute and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Brazil.

Melanie Siggs was appointed Global Head of Seafood at LRQA in June 2026. She is also a Non-Executive Director of the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas), the United Kingdom Government's marine science agency; Chair of Fisheries Innovation & Sustainability; and an Honorary Professor at Heriot-Watt University. She holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Responsibility and Business Practice.
Prior to joining LRQA, Melanie was a Director at the Global Seafood Alliance and worked with the World Economic Forum's Ocean Programme, following eight years as a Special Adviser to HRH The Prince of Wales' International Sustainability Unit.
Melanie has more than 20 years of experience across the global seafood sector, with particular expertise in the strategic use of standards and assurance to address risk, human rights and decent work across seafood supply chains, as well as the full commercial utilisation of fisheries and aquaculture products. She is a regular international speaker, moderator and facilitator on global seafood issues.

Vlasis Tsezos is the CEO and co-founder of Agritrack, a technology company that helps seafood businesses automate traceability, regulatory compliance and quality management across global supply chains. He supports the development of AI-enabled, standardised and interoperable systems for seafood traceability.
Vlasis works with producers, processors, importers, retailers and industry associations to translate regulatory requirements into practical traceability solutions. In addition to contributing to research and policy initiatives on digital traceability and supply chain interoperability, he co-authored the white paper CATCH in Practice: Bridging Regulatory Intent and Operational Reality in June 2026, which supports a more interoperable approach to implementing European Union seafood traceability requirements.
Previously, he held senior positions in management consulting and technology companies. Vlasis holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Science (MSc) in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from London Business School.

Tran Van Hung, also known as Jack MenT, is the CEO and Founder of MenT Automation, a Vietnamese company specialising in industrial automation and smart manufacturing solutions for the seafood processing industry. He is also a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Nha Trang University. Throughout his career, Jack has focused on developing practical automation and digital solutions for seafood processing, including weighing and grading systems, traceability, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), the Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Factory technologies.

Pablo Comesaña Costas has served as General Manager of Tri Marine LATAM since January 2025. He brings more than 30 years of experience in procurement, operations, industrial management and the food ingredients sector.
He joined Grupo Conservas Garavilla in 2012 as Global Purchasing Manager, where he was responsible for procurement, raw material planning and replenishment, while managing teams across four sites. Following Bolton's acquisition of Garavilla, he became Global Category Lead for Oil and Ingredients, with responsibility for procurement activities across Spain, Latin America and the Maghreb.
Pablo has overseen procurement for production facilities in Italy, France, Spain, Morocco and Latin America, while coordinating local procurement teams in Spain, Morocco and Ecuador. His extensive experience spans international sourcing, raw material procurement, supply chain management and food industry operations. He holds qualifications in engineering, international business, industrial quality and olive oil production.

Harold Cooklin is an experienced professional in the global tuna trade, with more than 35 years of industry experience. He currently serves as Procurement Director at Thai Union Group Public Company Limited, where he is responsible for strategic sourcing and international supply chain operations.
Prior to joining Thai Union, Harold spent more than two decades with Tri Marine International, initially as Senior Trader in Thailand and later as a Director in Panama, where he managed regional procurement and trading activities.
He holds a degree in Seafood Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Agraria in Lima, Peru. Harold began his career on the factory floor, progressing from Shift Foreman to Factory Manager before moving into trading. This hands-on experience has given him a broad perspective that combines operational knowledge with extensive experience in global tuna sourcing, procurement and market strategy.
